I am very lucky to live in such a supportive community and I was thrilled to be featured in our local magazine Around DB this month.
I love a red dot or three!
The Blue Lotus team celebrating a great show. I love the Affordable Art Fair!
There are two more days until the Affordable Art Fair opens. I am thrilled to be taking my work in a new direction, by bringing together three mediums on one plane. I usually keep my Photomontage, Collage and Painting works separate and for years I've wanted to see all three exist on the canvas together. It's the beginning of a new journey!
I will be exhibiting with Blue Lotus Gallery in Booth B02. Please pop in and say hello.
I absolutely love that my job is so varied and I've actively encouraged it in the past, but over the last few years I have been reducing the amount of extra work I take on. I tend to get too excited by new projects and it takes me away from my own practice.
However, when the opportunity to repaint a huge grandiose ceiling presented itself, I could not resit. Despite the fact that this is not my design or style I relished the challenge to replicate the work and restore the ceiling to it's former glory.
I enlisted the help of my studio mate Assia Bennani and thank goodness or I'd still be painting it today!
Amongst the monotony of painting metres of repetitive design there was a lot of general excitement, fun and also moments of extreme stress. It was a good learning experience in skill and technique, preparation and time management! Luckily we were able to paint the mural in our studio and install it later. Painting on a scaffold like Michelangelo may sound wildly romantic but in reality my neck felt like it was going to snap after 5 minutes of minor touch ups on site.
I'm so happy with how it turned out and now I think it's time for an abstract series!
I'm thrilled to be talking about my work at PMQ this weekend as part of the Blue Lotus Sessions featuring talks by all the talented artists represented by Blue Lotus Gallery.
My talk will take place on Saturday 9th November from 12-1pm at their pop up space at PMQ in Central.
I will talk about my inspiration, what drives me as an artist and how I work.

I am hugely excited to be exhibiting at the Affordable Art fair for the 5th year in a row. I have joined the fabulous Blue Lotus Gallery and will be showcasing a variety of my photomontage and collage works. I'm very excited to show new collage works 'Hong Kong People'.
Please pop down to say hello. Booth B2 May 18 - 21st at the Convention Centre.
I had a great start to the year working on a project for the AIA Great European Carnival. I was one of Eight Hong Kong artists chosen to paint a life size 3D cow for their charity project 'Art On Cows'. Who wouldn't want to paint on a life size cow given the opportunity!
Each cow was auctioned off for Film Aid at their Gala dinner on site. My cow was sold before the auction began so I was over the moon.
What a great end to 2016! A group show with Artists Abroad at The Rotunda, Exchange Square. It's such an amazing space. With the Christmas fairy lights in all the trees and the surrounding buildings reflecting the festive light shows, it really was a magical place to exhibit. We all had a successful show and 2016 is going out on a high.
Roll on 2017 and a Happy New Year to everyone.
Here's a snapshot selection of a few of the shows I've been in over the past few years. It's been an amazing time and I've been lucky enough to have shown a variety of work with different galleries and fairs, including The Affordable Art Fair in Hong Kong, New York and Singapore. Thank you Picture This Gallery, Van Rensburg Galleries and Jaarbar for all your support.
I have a group show coming up in Hong Kong in December, so 2016 will end on a high with an exhibition at The Rotunda in Exchange Square. I am feverishly painting away and will share the details soon!
Thanks for checking in.
