Easter Studio Retreat, Tuesday 6 April 2021

I’ve had enquiries for an adult’s retreat during the holidays, so I’ve decided to run a full-day arty escape in my studio in Discovery Bay.

First, you’ll be making your own handmade journal, complete with a painted canvas cover and a ribbon tie fastening.  We’ll be exploring the meditative practice of doodle drawing and colour blocking as I run a series of mindful free drawing exercises to help you unwind. We’ll end the morning by planning out a painting on canvas.

Delving into painting and mixed media techniques in the afternoon, you’ll be able to create something unique to you.  Whether you want to use texture paste and create a layered abstract piece or bring papers and pictures in to create a reminder of a memory or place in time, I’ll direct and guide you so that you can achieve a piece of art you are happy with.  

I hope you’ll leave feeling utterly relaxed, with a book that you can continue to use and a painting for your home.

All Materials included, snacks and refreshments and a healthy lunch. 

Times: 9:30 – 12:30 – Lunch Break – 2 – 5pm.
