Students will learn the art of bookbinding, using hand-painted watercolour pages. In their handmade books, we will explore different techniques each week, filling the journals and sketches and collages based on their life experiences over the next two months. I hope that this turns into a practice that they can continue. We will even delve into poetry and writing for a fully rounded journal.
In 10 weeks we will be able to cover so many different ways of creating pages. This is going to be an artistic approach to journaling, using mixed media techniques and detailed sketches as we record events and memories.
